Pack Boxes for Our Military Members

Next packing will be March 24th, 2012.

PLEASE, PLEASE keep in mind it is very costly to send large items, so keep the items small and think about where they are going and what it weighs.  Do not bring in OLD magazines.  If they are more than two months old, we will not send them. We are sending to our fighting men and women, so we DO NOT send used or old items.

Thanks for your cooperation.

We are Wired for the Internet!!

VFW Post 454 is now wired and fully Wi-Fi compatible.  Many of our Members had suggested that it would be great if the Post was computer friendly so they could bring their laptops in and relax or study while enjoying all the amenities that the Post has to offer.  We have truly moved our Post into the 21st Century with this addition of services to our Membership.  So, bring out your Laptops and enjoy the strong signal from the Kitchen Area all the way to the Beer Garden.

Volunteers Needed!

The Auxiliary is in need of Volunteers to bring a covered dish or a dessert for our Funeral Dinners.  Our list is getting shorter and the need is getting greater.  Remember the time may come when each of us may be in need of this service.  If you would be willing to add your name to our call list, please contact: Ilene Spencer at 828-2345.

Want to Join the Honor Guard?

We are always on the lookout for Members, who would be interested in becoming Members of the Color Guard and Funeral Detail.  One of the greatest Honors we can bestow upon our fellow Veterans and their Families is to ensure that they receive a proper Military Tribute when they go to their final resting place.  If you would be interested in joining the Color Guard, please feel free to contact Bill Brown at 309-261-1439.  I look forward to discussing the Color Guard and Funeral Detail with any of our Members.
